During The Last Phase Of The Indian Freedom Movement, Specifically In 1942, A Fierce Armed Struggle Was Waged In The Satara District Against The British Imperial Power. He And His Fellow Freedom Fighters, Including Baburao Tatya Patil, A Prominent Leader From Kundal, Founded The Gandhi Education Society On August 1, 1949, With The Aim Of Uplifting Rural Communities Through Education. The Seeds For The Society Were Sown Earlier, In 1947, With The Establishment Of The Krantisinh Nana Patil Student Hostel In Kundal.
